Things to check when your computer goes down:
- Are all the cables solidly attached?
- Are the power switches on? Do the lights show on?
- Check to see of the NUM lock key works.
- If not, the system is frozen and should be shut off then
restarted.
- Does the mouse move? Is there an hour glass?
- They system may be busy.
- Wait a few minutes then try Control+Alt+Delete and end
task any programs not responding.
- Use Norton Crash Guard to unfreeze it.
- Try restarting or rebooting the whole system.
- This usually fixes most issues.
- Write down any error messages.
- What was the system doing when it crashed?
- Is there a pattern here?
- When was the last time it worked?
- What is different?
- Does anyone else use this system?
